It's hard to believe that we are heading home today from TMS. It's been a long weekend with the Truck, Busch and Cup races but all in all we saw some good racing and even shed a few tears. You know, when you go to a race you just never know who you are going to sit next to. They might like a driver that you just can't stand or maybe they have better snacks than you do. Well I got lucky at the Cup race.....no not literally! I'm sitting there minding my own business and this guys sits down right next to me....literally, right next to me! I'm like 'dude, better back off' but then he tells me that's his seat. And I'm thinking it will be a long race. Things couldn't have been more opposite. Dale Sauer, owner of Dale Sauer Homes and Brian Alston of The Total Source were two of the best seat mates anyone could have. They made me laugh (even made my sisters laugh) and were just a joy to watch a race with. If that wasn't enough the more Dale and I talked we realized that we knew the same people ..... in San Antonio! And not use knew them but I used to work for one of them! I tell you, it's a small small world! Even thought I'm pooped as all get out I'll be glad to be home this afternoon. My own bed, my own stuff, you get the picture.

oh my gosh! I met so many wonderful people at the track yesterday! You know who you are! Seriously, I love talking with people who love this sport as much as I do. And how about that Busch race? Yeah, parts of it were real boring but when Kasey and Ryan went battling for about 10 laps, that was really cool. Clean racing all the way around! But the emotional part of the day had to be Kevin Harvick's win. He had just lost his father-in-law, who he was very close to, and you know he was giving it his all for John Paul. As race fans we know that we get to be close and know about the drivers of NASCAR unlike any other sport. Keven and Delana are our family and when our family hurts we hurt. So when Keven and Delana embraced in Victory Lane and tears were streaming down their faces - the tears were streaming down our faces. This morning we are heading to the track for the Cup race. I've heard it is a 3 hour pre-show. Can't imagine what a track could do that would engage me for 3 hours...other than a race! We'll see. Stay tuned. Our race report will be posted tonight giving you all the lowdown!

We are getting ready to leave for the track. Hard to tell what to wear weather wise. Last night it was cool and very breezy. Today is supposed to be warmer but we are sitting under the over hang so it will be shady. There are two Nextel Cup practices this morning and the Busch race. It will be another long day but when we get back we will let you know all the happenings!

Well, the Ladies (Lady N will fly in tonight) are in Las Colinas! Oops! Did I just give away our location? We like to stay just far enough away from the track so we can get some sleep when we come home from the races. Las Colinas is a beautiful area and the hotel is great too! Lady N and Lady S are taking a snooze. What up with these people? I was up until after 1:30 A.M. last night and got up at 5:00 A.M. this morning. Lazy, lazy is all I can say. We will be leaving for the track aroun 4:30--stop and get water where it won't cost us $5.00 per bottle! Well, I'm sureonce the sleeping beauties wake up they will drop a line. In the mean time.......

Here it is the night before we leave and I haven't packed a thing! Nope, not even done a load of wash! Can't be stinking so I better get to moving. 8:00 a.m. will come soon enough! I can just hear Lady S now beep-beep-beep in the driveway. My neighbors are gonna love that! The truck race is Friday night and I am looking foward to it. Heck! I'm looking forward to the whole weekend! Check back often!
